About these terms
These terms apply to your use of this website, which is operated by Optimal Civils (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2026/770955/07) of Plot 433, R336, Loerie, Eastern Cape, South Africa. By using the website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website.
These terms cover the website only. Any civil, earthworks, demolition, roadworks or concrete work we carry out is governed by the accepted quotation or a separate written agreement, not by this website.
Information on this website
The technical information, service descriptions, project images and regulatory references published on this website regarding civil earthworks, demolition, excavation, roadworks, stormwater, drainage, trenching and concrete operations are provided for general informational purposes only.
Nothing on this website constitutes formal engineering advice, geotechnical certification or a binding contractual tender offer, and no client-contractor relationship is created solely through the use of this website. Specific project scope, pricing, engineering methodology and site safety determinations must be established through independent site investigations and formal written contracts.
Enquiries and quotations
When you send an enquiry, we use the details you give us to understand the work and to prepare a quotation. Sending an enquiry does not create a contract and does not oblige you to use us or us to take on the work.
A quotation is an estimate based on the information and drawings available at the time. It is valid for the period stated on it, and the price may change if the scope, site conditions or materials change. Work starts only once a quotation has been accepted in writing and any agreed deposit has been paid.
Intellectual property
The text, images, logo and layout on this website belong to Optimal Civils or are used with permission. You may view the website and share links to it, but you may not copy, adapt or republish its content for commercial purposes without our written permission.
Acceptable use
You may not use this website for any unlawful purpose, try to gain unauthorised access to it or to the systems behind it, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code, or use the contact form to send spam or misleading information.
Links to other websites
This website may contain hyperlinks to external industry bodies, tender portals or regulatory authorities (for example the CIDB or the Department of Employment and Labour), and links to social media services. Optimal Civils accepts no responsibility or liability for the privacy practices, content or data protection standards of such external websites.
Electronic transmissions
While Optimal Civils implements reasonable technical safeguards in terms of section 19 of POPIA, the transmission of data across the internet cannot be guaranteed as completely secure. Users transmit information via web forms and email at their own risk, subject always to the mandatory obligations of Optimal Civils to maintain statutory security controls once information reaches its systems.
Liability
To the extent permitted by South African law, Optimal Civils shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages resulting from the temporary unavailability of the website, software viruses or external transmission errors.
Nothing in these terms purports to exclude or limit liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct or non-compliance with the non-derogable provisions of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
